Large store, very good range

Large store with full range of products, organics, fresh produce, many vegan items, gluten-free products and lots of chocolate and snack bars. Lots of tofu! Supplements, remedies, household products and more. I’ll remember to shop here first, next time I come to Lisbon for a stay.

Good vegan grocer

It’s a good place to buy vegan products, especially health products. I used to buy my vitamins from there. They also have a wide range of vegan chocolates for Xmas, Easter, etc. and other things you would only find online.
It’s a bit spenny tho…

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Great shop for stocking up on your goodies!

Huge election of organic fruit & veg, herbs, teas, wine, wholefoods, supplements, treats and more. Also local freshly-baked sourdough breads. My go-to in Lisbon.

Give it a go

Empada bio in their bakery section, 4 types, cheap (compared to other typical health organic food prices) and legit, same for portioned cake / dessert slices of the same brand.
Kiwi also 2€/kg.

Pros: Vegan snacks, discounts sometimes, Staff is nice

Cons: Few diff products from other similar EU store

Celeiro

Another excellent grocer in Lisbon with loads of vegan products available. This store carried some more artisanal vegan cheeses compared to Go Natural, which were nice to find. What set this place apart for me was the natural health section, which felt massive. I stocked up on Tiger Balm since I can't seem to find it in the UK. Can't wait to explore this place more.

A good place to grab some vegan food and other stuff

This is the biggest of this chain store I've been in, and has the usual plant milks and cheeses along with various meat and dairy alternatives. Also stocks a lot of health food and diet items, food supplements/vitamins, and cruelty free cosmetics and hygiene items (note: not all necessarily vegan). I don't often venture downtown but this is a great place for tourists to get supplies and snacks.

Pros: Convenient downtown location

Cons: A bit more expensive than they should be

not vegan friendly

I tried to order from the buffet. No one knew what vegan was. I thought I had two vegan empanadas. One had dairy in it. The cashier told me. So I went back. They said the pizza was vegan. I took a bite. It was dairy. Yep. I ate dairy. They then gave me horrible tasting seitan and sausage. I couldn't eat it. I've had way better luck at restaurants that aren't considered vegan friendly here in Lisbon.

Pros: store ok

Cons: no clue what vegan is, poor quality food

Sympathy and alternatives!

I'm a client for a long time. There's many celeiro stores, but this has a different glow. People here are so nice!!! More than a store where you can find all kind of products (vegan, gluten-free, organic...), there you'll always find a smiling face and information as needed.

Pros: vegan, gluten-free, sugar alternatives, supplement

Cons: should have more vegetables and fruit (organic)

Great for healthy shopping

The restaurant in the basement has great food (Vegan and Vegetarian) and the cooks are knowledgeable about the various diets. The store on the main floor has a wide selection of healthy products for people with all sorts of diets. I usually pop in for the daily Provida products has an afterwork snack.

Pros: - Wide selection of products on the store, - Knowledgeable kitchen staff

Cons: - Not the greatest selection of fresh-foods

Convenient option in the city center

I stumbled into this shop/restaurant by chance while I was looking for something else. I decided to enter since I was getting hungry. You enter in a shop and for the restaurant you have to go downstairs. They offer a few vegan options, which is always a plus. I got the Portuguese tofu, which was ok but a bit bland and a vegan strawberry dessert, which was too sugary. Even though the quality of the cooking can be improved it is always nice to stumble into a place with vegan options. The shop is not too big but has a few basic products (big supplement section) but very few grocery items. Great location.

Pros: Great location, A variety of vegan options, Also a shop

Cons: Quality of food can be improved, Cantine-like place, Lacks atmosphere

Nothing special

This shop is fine for dry products and cosmetics, but the selection of fresh food is very limited.

We bought a selection of food to go from the fridge on the way in, and threw all of it away on account of it being completely tasteless and almost inedible!

A good selection of soya/seitan products but maybe not the healthiest foods.

Great for groceries!

Good range of 'store cupboard' type groceries. Everything from oats to chia seeds, nuts, coconut oil etc. Quite a few different raw/energy bars, including Beond (organic and raw). Also non dairy milks available. Small fresh section. Cosmetic area is quite big. They keep a range of Sante shampoos etc, which are mostly vegan. Cafe isn't very exciting.. But other than that a great find!

Good quality for an affordable price

Went there some time ago with a friend of mine and Celeiro serves a quite full plate of food and you can also buy soup, a drink and coffee in the end. For the quantity, it is affordable. Maybe not the most yummy food (been to other veg restaurants and they are better) but at least it's good. Big advantage: close to Lisbon's most touristic areas as it's downtown, and both the train and underground.

Good range of products

We used this branch a number of times when in Lisbon, and it's range is slightly better than most comparable stores in the UK (which doesn't necessarily mean much!) There is limited fruit/veg options, but the cabinet with ready made bites (empanadas/tacos etc) makes it ideal for tourists or those looking for a quick and easy lunch. There is also a fairly wide range of Tofu and Seitan products for those able to cook, and cabinets with soy/rice milk ice creams for hot days. We popped down to the restaurant once, but the atmosphere was quite sterile was very little in the way of vegan labelling, so we chose to eat elsewhere.

Overall this looked to be the best Lisbon had to offer in terms of a range of vegan products, and there seemed to be a good spread of gluten free offerings too.

Good for shopping, but don't eat there

...unless you just want to grab something to go.

There is a grocery store and a restaurant. I do recommend the store, including their offer of vegan snacks. I do not recommend the restaurant.

Celeiro has other restaurants in Lisbon (e.g., Campo Pequeno) that offer roughly the same food and are way nicer. However, they have raised their prices recently, and since now they are comparable with other veg*n restaurants, honestly, it makes more sense to have your lunch elsewhere.

Decent place, great location

This store is pretty good. We popped in a few times for different things over the course of our stay and we were quite happy with what we got. Most grab-and-go items seemed to be vegan as well. We tried several kinds of bread, muffins, sandwiches, etc and they were all tasty. They also have a café downstairs with free wifi, which is very convenient especially for tourists like us. Selection can be hit or miss depending on what you are looking for. For example, I wanted some quality chocolate but all they had were generic brands.

Pros: central location, delicious vegan snacks

Cons: limited selection

Good store with lots to offer.

They also have a self service to grab a bite or two. Their vegan empanadas are delish! And costs €1.50. So I had 2.

First stop in Lisbon

Lisbon may sometimes be tricky for vegans, therefore I can only recommend this place to buy your groceries when you arrive or if you're staying in an apartment or if you need snacks etc. They offer a wide range of products, local vegetables, cereal bars, plant milks... I tried their tofu and mushroom burgers and really enjoyed them (they're local too). Only a short walking distance from the train station.

Pros: Local fresh products , Imported "dry" products, Location
