I originally had a reservation for Budget..... why did i do that?!?!? When I got to the rental car facility, the line was long as hell because it was a sale. I looked over at Alamo and there was one person in line. I promptly booked my car via Priceline, and it was about $18 more than Budget. I was in and and out the Alamo line in 10 mins. I looked over at the Budget/ Avis lines , they were still working with the same 2 people when while I was in the Budget line.
The Columbus Airport has a consolidated rental car facility . You take the rental car facility bus from the terminal, and it takes you to the rental cars housed in a offsite garage (about a mile away from the airport.) You can select any available model they have on the hand based on the category of vehicle you rented.
The signage on rental return was easy to spot. Employees at this location are very friendly. Drop off is VERY quick and easy.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We had reserved a SUV from Alamo in Philadelphia and had a quick transaction with the friendly rental agent. we were then assisted by another friendly and helpful person and selected our vehicle for our two week trip. The vehicle was clean and fit our needs perfectly.

I have rented from Alamo in the past in Puerto Rico and had a great experience so I decided to try out the location at the Columbus airport. I flew in from New Orleans and my flight got in really late. I appreciated that Alamo was still open when most other rental companies were closed.
The employee at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I was exhausted from a long day of travel and he was efficient and understanding. They had a wide variety of vehicles to choose from and I was able to get the car that I wanted for a very decent rate.

Quick and easy check out and check back in even told me that my gas prepaid saved me money based on amount left in tank on cars return.

I recently rented a vehicle from Alamo from the Columbus airport. I was absolutely discussed on the interior conditions of the vehicle. As I got into the car, a pungent smell of vomit from the back of the car could be noticed. As I looked back, there were stains all over the carpet and on the seats. I got out of the car and told the man working behind the counter to come look at the car with me. I honestly thought that it was a joke that they were actually giving me this as a rental. As I explained the poor conditions of the interior the man working there just shrugged his shoulders without apologizing. Long story short... DON'T rent a car from here unless you want to drive a COVID filled trash truck. Yuck!

Shuttle drivers always help us with our bags (my husband is disabled but mobile, and they still insist on lending a hand ), and we've never had to wait more than a minute or two for one to arrive. Employees are very friendly, at every location we've been to. Drop off is VERY quick and easy. Reasonable prices, too.
My only complaints are that the shuttle bus driver we had in Ohio had the heater on in 80° heat (just the one from the airport to the rental place), and a "full size sedan" is apparently a Hyundai Sonata. Maybe that last one is on us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Abby is an angel! I was able to have the best weekend of my life because she was so sweet and helped me figure out what could have been a disaster. She was so kind and helpful with the issue I was running into. I appreciate her so much and the manager I also was helped by was very respectful and thoughtful. It was a great experience overall! Booked rental same day on site and arrived and was told that they only had a full size rental suv and it would cost me 130 plus dollars for a day rental!!! This is by far the worse location and customer service I have received ever in my life fork Alamo!! This is ridiculous that the site allowed me to book a full size car and when I arrived it's a different story and very rude customer service. I would not be returning to this location at all. Was advised that all cars they have are counted for which makes no sense at all.

Please go somewhere else where your business is appreciated it. I had the worst experience with BRET YUTSY. He was the manager at the time. I learned I was placed on the Do not rent list for sending someone (my ex husband) to return my rental car after finding out I had Covid. I tried to explain this, I offered to show my covid positive results that match the dates of the rental but BRET wouldn't even care to see. Anyways, I had prepaid for the rental through a third party, I had to call and cancelled.
Next thing, my husband goes in to get a rental, he's greeted and processed by the nice ladies at the counter, when we go upstairs now Mr. YUTSY informs us that my husband can't rent and is being placed in the do not rent list because his association with me. I numerous times tried to reason with Mr. YUTSY instead he decides to close the window on us and call airport security. Officer Ford at the CMH police mediates but Mr YUTSY is not willing to rent to my husband who was nothing to do w the issue I had months ago and landed me in the do not rent list and now for unknown reasons my husband is also being placed in the Do not rent list. Anyways, we leave to go get a rental somewhere else. We call the 3rd party to get our money back since both rentals were prepaid and we are told that Alamo has confirmed that my husband has picked up the rental. While having the third party (Priceline) on the line we go upstairs to inform to Mr YUTSY and ask him to speak to the rep, he again turns his back and calls the police again. A lady at the counter stars screaming at me saying that I need to leave while I explained her that I don't want to be there but I need them to confirm that the rental was not picked up. The lady (who was inside the booth w mr yutsy) screams to the Priceline rep but fails to provide her name and throws my phone to me. The police arrives and luckily the Priceline rep tells me they were able to confirm the car was not picked up and we will be refunded.

Unbelievable- we were given a vehicle with expired tabs. They were expired by 5 months! We then received a ticket while driving the rental vehicle, given a citation, and had to drive back to the airport at 11 PM to get a new vehicle. They said we could pick "any car from the lot" but only 3 of their vehicles were properly registered with tabs!! They also refused to refund our rental, but did say they would take care of the ticket (as if they're doing us a favor). We just received a bill in the mail for said ticket and now have to deal with their incompetent customer service who says it's our responsibility. I can't even believe how horrendous this place is. Do NOT rent here.
