    I.S.S., a new sci-fi thriller film is going to be released in January 2024. It has derived its name from the existing International Space Station and narrates the story of nearly six space explorers. Here's everything to know more

    An unforeseen threat is facing the astronaut crew in I.S.S which is a new sci-fi thriller offering a grounded and astonishing twist to the genre. It does not involve belligerent extraterrestrial beings or fatal space debris.

    Getting its name from the International Space Station existing in real life, and being the home to the astronauts from nations across the world, I.S.S narrates the story of around six space explorers. Three of them belong to the United States with the rest of the three belonging from Russia. Though they see each other as co-workers and comrades initially, everything changes when they encounter the fatal repercussions of nuclear war on the planet under them.
    Each of them is instructed by their corresponding nations to take over the space station, leading to a possible conflict between the erstwhile allies.

    I.S.S: Release date

    I.S.S. is going to be released on January 19, 2024. It is directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and written by Nick Shafir. Its run time is 95 minutes. The film will be released against Origin, the timely drama by Ava DuVernay.

    I.S.S: Trailer

    I.S.S.'s first trailer was released by Bleecker Street on December 4th, 2023, two days after the release of the trailer of Fallout by Amazon. The trailer makes a quick introduction to the American astronauts - Dr. Kira Foster played by Ariana DeBose, Christian Campbell played by John Gallagher Jr. and Gordon Barrett played by Chris Messina.

    They are introduced to the amicable Russian residents of the International Space Station which consists of Weronkia Vetrov played by Masha Mashkova, Alexey Pulov played by Pilou Asbaek, and Nicholai Pulov played by Costa Ronin. They are all carrying out the usual astronaut work and participating in some R&R whenever they can, however, that dynamic changes in a drastic manner when disaster hits.

    From their space station which is tens of thousands of miles away from the surface of the Earth, they can witness that a nuclear flame has engulfed a massive section of the globe.

    I.S.S : Cast

    The cast of I.S.S includes Ariana DeBose as Dr. Kira Foster, the star who won an Academy Award for West Side Story.

    The rest of the cast members are Chris Messina as Gordon Barrett and John Gallagher Jr. as Christian Campbell. Pilou Asbaek, Costa Ronin, Masha, and Mashkova, will be playing the role of the Russian astronauts.

    I.S.S: Other crew members

    The other crew members are cinematographer Nick Remy Matthews, composer Anne Nikitin, production designer Geoff Wallace, editors Colin Patton, and Richard Mettler, and art director Kevin Hardison.
