I’m a recent graduate from the USC Iovine & Young Academy for Innovation. It’s an amazing program that truly felt like “Hogwarts on a Spaceship”. I love the ALL of the faculty members, each of my classmates are amazing and unique, and with a lower acceptance rate than Harvard, they only enroll 120 graduate students per year. I am a classical musician and trumpet player who began working on major 3D Film productions during the Great Recession. From 2008-2013, I got to see how immersive technology evolved and became more technical during the post-production phase of movie-making. This exposure inspired me to pivot and learn Virtual Reality development, Usability, and UX Design. Breaking into the tech industry has been a challenge for me because up until recently I have struggled to communicate through my journey man’s resume what my true value is to any company. But now I understand that I am a product designer and a utility guy who is very collaborative and curious, and I always aim to maintain an open mind by taking on whatever task that needs to get done. Over the past 6 years I’ve obsessively learned a ton of skills that were only enhanced by the experience I had at USC IYA. I can design web and mobile interfaces, manage projects and cross-functional teams, and I can perform highly in-depth market research and competitive analyses. I can also design immersive scenes and concepts for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality product solutions. I can code front-end web apps, C# for VR applications, and SwiftUI to build iOS applications. I can create omni-channel marketing campaigns with clearly defined SMART Goals and KPI’s, and I can use strategic foresight to help companies navigate the future of their industries. Yes, send your kid to USC IYA! A specialization in the intersectionality of how products are made, along with deep knowledge in the various skills listed above is what makes me valuable. Uncertainty doesn’t scare me, but big, hairy spiders do. Right now, I’m learning Blender and 3D Modeling. Why? Because I love being productive and learning new things. I do a bit of business consulting as well, but I’m also OPEN FOR WORK! #openforwork #productdesign #immersivetechnology #creativetechnology #usciya #innovation If you need a product designer for your company or start-up, and are preparing to venture into the realm of Mixed Reality, look no further than here and slide into my DM’s. Tell me what problems you are trying to solve. I’d love to get busy and help make a contribution in whatever way that I can. The Future is not certain, it is made. Let’s build! ✌️😎 Fight On
Whether it's in music, tech, or education, Jimmy Iovine is breaking down silos to build bridges of empathy and understanding. Tune into Part 2 of this Masters of Scale episode in which Iovine talks about the impetus behind IYA. https://lnkd.in/gZkhRt-T

Day 9 - My favorite project ever at UM | Universal McCann GmbH was working for Sony Music Entertainment #Urban Music Group on the 2nd #Beyonce album #Bday I learned incredibly valuable lessons working on this campaign. First I learned that an #albumrelease is not like other product releases in that the date is much more important and more factors effect it (other albums, other events in #popculture). Second I learned that the #recordlabel is spending money from the #artist's budget so every dollar we save actually helps to support the artist so it matters more than in most cases. Finally I learned that #contextualtargeting means more when #marketing an album than it does with other products. Keep in mind this was pre-Spotify and Apple Music so people had to be convinced to spend $19.99 Did you buy this album? If so what was your favorite track? Mine was "Ring The Alarm"
