While picnicking on Squaw Island, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose find a hundred dollar bill, and when they return to explore further they find an entire cave full of money.
Ron Roy has been writing books for children since 1974. He is the author of dozens of books, including the popular A to Z Mysteries®, Calendar Mysteries, and Capital Mysteries. When not working on a new book, Ron likes to teach tricks to his dog Pal, play poker with friends, travel, and read thrilling mystery books.
I love this book very much. In this book, I like the way all the friends go on a picnic. I love Ruth Rose's character because she is very funny. She tells funny things. The concept of all friends going to a picnic was super cute.
I am currently reading The Invisible Island by: Ron Roy! I am not very far because I just started, but think this book will be great because the kids in the book are adventurous, curious, and risk takers! I also think it will be a good book because all of the other books Ron Roy has written have pulled me out of my chair. So far this book has been great and they are about to encounter their adventure of the invisible island. This book has a lot of good descriptions like the water was shallow enough to wade across. I think the author does a good job of describing the setting, kids personalities, and their feelings. One thing the author only includes in the first book is the description of the kids (what the kids look like.) Over all this book has been great and I can't wait to read about the adventure the 3 kids encounter. I would recommend this book to people who like mystery books and people who like to be on the edge of their seats while reading! So far I would give this book about three or four stars.
This is the first chapter book that my niece and I read together, and she really enjoyed it. The language is age appropriate (she's now in second grade), and she enjoyed the characters and the relationship they have together. She also enjoyed the suspense of the mystery and enjoyed trying to figure out who the culprit was.
I listened to this book over 10 days ago. It was not particularly memorable, but as I have only a single note I must not have found it nearly as bad as H.
Note: "We are going." Dink asked What??? That is not how 'asking' gets written.
It had some useful information (poison ivy -> calamine lotion) and new places in the town.
I love this book. It's amazing. Ruth Rose is my favorite character. She is clever, funny and intelligent. This book is funny, interesting and mysterious. My favorite part of this book is the mystery
I enjoyed this book because I like invisible stuff. I did not like this book because I did not like the part when a creepy person in black showed up and then went away.
Follow Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose on their next mystery adventure which leads them to Squall Island. A day trip to the local island turned into an adventure when the kids discover a $100 bill in the sand. Certain they will find more treasure they continue to scour the island. What they didn’t expect to find was a mystery begging to be solved. Enormous footprints lead them to a cement vault that has been purposely hidden among poison ivy. The children are able to open the vault and make a surprising discovery. This book would be good to recommend for middle to upper elementary readers. The book is engaging so it would likely motivate even a reluctant reader in middle school and high school. One activity that this book could be used for is having students practice sequencing events. Teachers can also use this as a mentor text for children to reference as they plan their own mystery stories. Students can do character studies and put together clues to determine how they think the mystery will be solved or who the guilty character is from the book.

Daniel: This was one of the best books I've read this year. Some parts left me not knowing until the very end, some were obvious. Take how Mr. P. said he always stayed away from poison ivy, but he bought three bottles of calamine lotion as an example. I don't actually read the series in order. Anyway, happy reading!
Three kids discovered a money in three each boxes in Squaw Island. They wonder why keep them in the cement "house" for hidden. But money are fake. Mr. Bent who painter, he produce the fake money. His wife and he actually were counterfeiter. Three kids responded to Sheriff Office for arrest them for jail.
so, my youngest and I are driving about an hour 1 way to camp all week. We love listening to this series as audio books. Loved that this one had poison ivy in it so we were able to talk about it! LOL the theme fit right into camp and was a fun little mystery.
My 6-year-old daughter says: I liked how they solved it.
My 4-year-old son says: 5 STARS! Because I don't know why it's called Invisible Island, but maybe the fog so they couldn't see it that good. That was my favorite part.
Mom says: The title was never really explained...and I don't understand why the local police needed to rely so much on GRADE SCHOOL CHILDREN to solve potentially dangerous cases....seems like maybe they need some more training in investigative techniques. But the kids love it.
Three friends plan to go for a picnic to the Squall island. There they find a 100$ bill. By following the foot prints they reach a hidden house, where there is a lot of treasure. In the story, the island disappears in the fog. Later they pray and the island reappears.
What I liked about the book is that the friends are brave and they are true friends of each other.
I loved the book. It was amazing to read. Enjoyed a lot.
As an adult, I recently read a book where a character liked monochrome outfits and all I could think was "Ruth Rose did it first, and better."
I'm always impressed at how dramatic the mystery is in these books. It's like an episode of Scooby-Doo but with a more thoughtful mystery, and perhaps more options of who could be behind it. Not sure why I bought this when I saw it secondhand, but here we are. "Dink" is an odd nickname.
After enjoying a picnic on Squaw Island, Ruth Rose, Josh, and Dink find mysterious large footprints that stop at a boulder, and disappear. Ruth Rose finds a hundred dollar bill on the ground, and this leads the trio to discover a hidden concrete bunker filled with money. They try to find out how it got there, and who it belongs to.
While picnicking on Squaw Island, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose find a hundred- dollar bill and when they return to explore further they find an entire cave full of money. What is going on on Squaw Island?
One of the setbacks of audiobooks is that sometimes your mind drifts elsewhere, and then you become a little "lost" in the storyline and thus less interested. This happened to me on this one, which we listened to on our way to my parents' house after not seeing them for 6 months due to COVID-19.
The island is not invisible, just covered in fog. It shouldn't be called " The Invisible Island " because it's just fog, But, there's not many words that start with " I " that would make a good tidle for a book so I can't complain.

My 3rd and 4th graders loved it. The kids found out who is printing counterfeit money and hiding it on Squall Island, the “Invisible Island” in the title. I thought the ending was somewhat simple and not really believable but the students liked it.
I love this series. The kids are solving real mysteries around their neighborhood (as opposed to their siblings), and they find out things that the adults couldn't.
Written for teachers: Not the best book for a book club. The mystery is not gripping and there are not many suspects. I am always on the lookout for mysteries for my 3rd graders to read in book clubs; this one might be too boring.
Well, the story was good, and I loved that the dog ended up in a nice home. However, I was hoping for something more invisible about the invisible island.
