The notebook is able to be submerged in water and still written on, it will dry fairly quickly though the pages do stick together a little while it's wet.
It's heavier than normal paper, being made of a refined calcite power mixed with resin instead of the light cellulose fibres of normal paper. This also lends it a plastic-like texture which is overall stronger than paper although it is susceptible to being stretched and deformed.
My only problem with the notebook is that it's bound by plastic rings which can be pulled out by someone unaware of the strength of the paper trying to tear a page out, but this is of little concern.
