Now open: Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse in west Chandler

By Jess Harter Thursday, December 6, 2018

Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse, an award-winning restaurant in Oakland, Calif., has opened a second location on the southeast corner of the I-10 and Ray in west Chandler.

It takes over the 7,575-square-foot building southeast of  I-10 and Ray that most recently housed Señor Pancho Villa, which closed last year after just two months in business.

Other previous tenants of the building include Nabers, Ernie’s Inn, and Jilly’s American Grille.

Galeto’s prix-fixe menu ($39.95) offers what it calls a ‘‘meat parade’’ of up to 14 types of rotisserie beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and sausage served tableside.

A ‘‘gourmet bar’’ buffet ($36.95) offers seafood, salads, imported cheeses, charcuterie meats, hot sides and more.

A full bar has beers, wine, and cocktails, including a caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail made with cachaça, sugar, and lime.

Hours are 5-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5-9:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
