Trifolium subterraneum (Fabaceae ) 1:159  
Trifolium subterraneum (Subterranean Clover) is a common, prostrate, annual herbaceous weed with weak stems and trifoliate leaves. The leaves are on long petioles and have appressed hairs on both surfaces. The leaflets are widest above the middle, 8-25 mm long and wide, and are minutely toothed at the apex. The stipules are green and leafy. The flowers are white with pink stripes and in clusters of 2-6 flowers with petals and several flowers without petals.
