Jack Johnson announces new album

No more sitting, waiting, wishing for new music, Jack Johnson fans: The folk-rock singer has just announced a brand-new album.

The singer/songwriter's sixth studio effort, From Here to Now to You, is out Sept. 17, but those itching for a taste of the Hawaiian-bred musician's new material can download the first single, I Got You, on iTunes today.

From Here to Now to You marks Johnson's first set of original songs since 2010's To the Sea. The album was produced in Hawaii with Mario Caldato Jr., the man behind Johnson's best-selling In Between Dreams, which spawned such sunny surf tunes as Better Together, Banana Pancakes and Sitting, Waiting, Wishing.
