Introduction

Razer Logo

Razer is a brand that probably doesn't need any introduction. They were true pioneers of the gaming industry, manufacturing peripherals and accessories for gaming back in the days when nobody else was doing so. Some twenty years have passed, and while the industry pretty much is saturated now, Razer is still going strong. In this review, I'm going to show you their most well-known mouse pads, the Goliathus models. This product group has two main sub-categories, Control and Speed, indicating their surface type. Both types come in four different sizes with two-two different print designs.

Prelude

Many still don't realize how much of a positive impact a good mouse pad can have. If you really dig deep into mouse-pad theory, you will soon find out that it is an extremely intuitive and divisive topic. A casual user most probably won't care much about all the different kinds, but if you are a hardcore gamer or maximalist—or both—you will want the best one for your needs. There isn't such a thing as the objectively best mouse pad because such differences can be subtle; however, they can be ridiculously huge as well.
