Stomatella impertusa (Burrow, 1815)

The shell is typical 2,5 cm in lenght. The shell is ornamented with white triangular spots with dark apices.The body colour varies, tones of brown, green, pink, forming a variegated pattern more or less organized into spiral bands.

The Elongate False Ear Shell can be found intertidally and subtidally on rocks.This good algae eater is nocturnal.
