Highlights
- Praça do Vidigal - Upon reaching Praça do Vidigal, we’ll utilize local and secure transportation to get to the trailhead.
We’ll embark on the trail, which is clearly marked and offers us the opportunity to appreciate the indigenous plant and animal life. Along the way, we’ll encounter several scenic overlooks that provide stunning vistas.
As we proceed, I’ll be sharing insights and tales about the local area.
Following roughly an hour’s hike, we’ll be rewarded with the city’s most spectacular panorama, featuring iconic landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana, as well as the entire southern zone.
All that’s left is to take in this magnificent view.

Great hike! - Rodrigo was an amazing guide! He let us request a different time to go, and then was super nice when we were late because we had a hard time getting an Uber. He helps you secure a motorbike ride through the favela to the beginning of the hike, and then takes you up to the summit and back down again. After, we walked with him to a tasty açaí place. He took lots of photos and was just fun to chat with! I would highly recommend booking with him!

Great hike - Best tour guide of all time! Rodrigo was a pleasure to adventure with! He took many photos of us, recommended a lot of other things to do, and brought us to an amazing açaí place.

AMAZING VIEWS, DOABLE (for “non-hikers”), and FRIENDLY GUIDE - Rodrigo was a great guide. The road that our Uber originally took was closed which caused many of us to be late. Fortunately, Rodrigo was super patient and had a “no big deal” attitude. His English was very good, he learns from his fiance who is from the US!
The hike itself was beautiful — mostly in the trees but several viewpoints throughout. Don’t worry if you hike solo, Rodrigo is there to take any photos you may want! In fact, he insisted. 😁
The motorcycle ride up was so much fun, my wife and I had a great time.
If I could rank Rodrigo & this hike higher than 5… it’d get a 10. Must do when in Rio!

Great time at Dois Irmãos! - Rodrigo’s tour to Dois Irmãos was great. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. I considered going alone but that would have been a big mistake. I’m glad I went with Rodrigo and his group. Valeuu Rodrigo!!

Beautiful hike, amazing views, the best tour guide! - One of the best hikes I’ve ever done and I had the best guide ever in Robinson Santos. The ride up and down in the motorbikes was a fun way to start and end the hike and the hike itself was moderately challenging but had a ton of places to stop for some awesome photos. Robinson was very nice, knowledgeable and he even helped me find my lost phone after the tour was finished! He is a very good person. I highly recommend doing this hike and I highly recommend doing it with Robinson!

Fun Ride + good Vibe - We had a real good time with Rodrigo. At first there was a nice ride uphill with mototaxis und afterwards a sporty way uphill. Rodrigo take good care of us and allways had an eye on us. It was a good one.

Epic ‘two brothers’ hike and vidigal favela moto ride - Epic experience - our guide Rodrigo was super chill (easy to communicate with before the hike, great conversation during and showed us all the best spots/knew the trails really well). The hike itself is awesome - amazing view and the motorcycle ride through the favela was really cool and felt safe the whole time thanks to Rodrigo’s knowledge of the area. Would highly recommend!

The BEST tour guide in Rio de Janerio! 🥇 - Rodrigo was my guide throughout my stay in Rio, he is so helpful in recommending activities, restaurants and beaches! I even had the opportunity to go paragliding through Rodrigo's contacts. He is the hands down the best guide in Rio de Janeiro, his English is perfect and he has amazing energy! We did the brothers hike together and he helped throughout the hike with motivational talks and fun and handy information about the area! What can I say he made my stay in Rio unforgettable, I recommend Rodrigo to anyone who is looking to have a great experience in Rio de Janeiro and like I said he is #1!!! 🙏
