To all my friends and followers in Brazil: I am honored and humbled to inform you that my book The Enterprise Data Catalog published by O'Reilly will appear in Portuguese! I literally fell off the chair when I read it 😅 But it's for real. 👉🏻 The São Paulo based publishing house Novatec Editora has decided to purchase the rights to my book and will be translating it for my audience in Brazil. Very, very few books from O'Reilly obtain a status that justifies a translation, but I have been blessed with a curious, openminded and intelligent group of readers in Brazil. It all began with Fabiola Aparecida Vizentim asking herself if her studies in Library- and Information Science would lead her in the right direction. How long time ago is that? a year? more? She saw my posts on my book, and I believe was able to provide a bit of guidance and motivation for you Fabiola, as I am sure many others have too. From that point on, my readers in Brazil somehow just grew and grew. I.. I really don't know what to say... Except that I have informed my family that we are packing.. We will of course visit Brazil and meet all of you that have kindly spent some time reading my book about data catalogs.
