Ciudad Encantada

The Enchanted City, declared a Natural Site of National Interest in 1929. This worldwide known geological phenomenon is made up of rock formations sculpted by the action of water, wind and ice, which, by eroding the rocks over centuries, have managed to model figures more than curious (human silhouettes, objects and animals) with a precision that is difficult to understand, until achieving a city that seems asleep under some mysterious spell.

The name of this place speaks for itself, although you have to visit it to appreciate its spectacular nature! A walk for the whole family that invites you to play with your imagination to name the shapes of the rocks that will surprise you. Many of them already have names and you can play to find them, the ship, the dog, the seal, the face of a man, the hippopotamus, the theater and even the lovers of Teruel have been present in this incredible place.

The Ciudad Encantada is a lime landscape in a large pine forest in the highlands near the Spanish city of Cuenca and the Júcar. The rock formations form a labyrinth of rock bridges, more or less wide paths and open spaces.
