Matthew Rhys is cooking up a rivalry with Bradley Cooper.
The Americans star is joining the actor in an untitled cooking project from The Weinstein Company, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. John Wells is directing the film, which will see Rhys play a rival to Cooper’s chef character.
Steven Knight wrote the script, which centers on Adam Jones (Cooper), a chef living in Paris whose bad behavior has ruined his career. He’s plotting a comeback, but that chance could be destroyed by his nemesis Reece (Rhys)
Stacey Sher, Michael Shamberg and Erwin Stoff are producing the project, which is shooting in London until Sept. 26.
The film’s other stars include Uma Thurman, Sienna Miller and Daniel Bruhl.
Rhys stars as Philip Jennings in the FX spy drama The Americans. He is repped by WME and Management 360.
Rebecca Ford contributed reporting.
