Susan Boyle almost unrecognisable as she's spotted in iconic hotel

The Scots singing sensation, 61, delighted fans with her surprise visit as she spent some time at the Knock House Hotel and took photos with beaming locals.

Britain's Got Talent legend Susan Boyle has been enjoying a peaceful getaway in Ireland this week.

The Scots singing sensation, 61, delighted fans with her surprise visit to the Emerald Isle as she spent some time at the Knock House Hotel in Mayo, in the west of the country. As reported by the Mirror, the I Dreamed A Dream singer, who became a household name after competing on BGT in 2009, posed for photos with excited locals in the area.

The hotel then took to Facebook to share a snippet of Susan's stay at the famous hotel as they showed snaps of her beaming alongside local residents. Alongside the photos, the caption read: "It was our pleasure to welcome Susan Boyle back to Knock House again recently.

"Susan is a fabulous lady and we always love to see her return time and time again to Knock House Hotel. Pictured here with the lovely Des Dugan from the team at Senior Times LIVE."

Some fans took the comments to share their disappointment at missing a chance to meet Susan, while others gushed over the singer. One fan commented: "OMG, this is literally down the road from me. RAGING that I missed getting a picture with Subo."

Another echoed: "Susan seems like such a lovely woman. What a talent. Hope she had a wonderful stay in Ireland."

A third added: "Great picture. Susan your voice is beautiful. Nice to see you enjoying your time in Knock Hotel."

It's not the first time Susan has visited Ireland and spent time in Knock having previously stayed in the same hotel a number of years ago. The Scots singer also previously revealed that she has a large Irish family with many cousins.

She said: "I was up visiting people in Donegal, I've got a few cousins up there on my mother's side, the McLoughlins."

Susan rose to fame in 2009 after appearing as a contestant on the third series of Britain's Got Talent, singing 'I Dreamed a Dream' from Les Misérables.
