Alexei Nemov

D.O.B. 28 May 1976

Recently dubbed "the Dennis Rodman of Gymnastics", Nemov is the 1994 Goodwill Games Champion, 1996 Russian Champion, the winner of 2 gold 1 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 1996 Olympics. More recently he came 1st on Floor Exercise at the 1997 World Championships and took gold on Vault at the World Cup Final. It was rumoured that Alexei was dating the Olympic bronze medallist and 1997 World Rhythmic Champion, Ukrainian Elena Vitrichenko. Alexei Nemov was voted Favourite Gymnast, Most Photogenic and Most Sportsmanlike in the '96-'97 IG Readers Poll.
