Mecynorrhina oberthuri f.decorata

59.00

  • Very rare large flower beetle-Goliath. Not so long ago, the beetle was so rare that it was missing even in the largest collections and museums. But rarity is a relative term. It was later discovered that the beetle is not rare in nature, its rarity is because it lives in the wild and inaccessible Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. It is difficult to get into this mountain range at all, let alone search for beetles. That’s why it remains a rarity in collections today.
This species is found in two forms- “f.decorata”(mosaic) and “f.oberthuri”(orange), which we also offer.
