Terrifying ‘Vampire’ Wasp Discovered In Peruvian Amazon

A newly discovered species of wasp is the stuff of nightmares. The parasitic capitojoppa amazonica, or “vampire wasp,” is named for its huge head and habit of sucking the blood out of its hosts.
