Watching Zac Efron withdrawal in the wild with Bear Grylls? For some reason, I’m in!
James Marsters should have his own series in the near future. Didn’t know that he’s not on Twitter.
Marsters is talented enough to have his own show. He would have more exposure if he had not burned his bridges with his former friend Joss Whedon. Joss uses the same actors over and over, and Marsters would have been more visible to the Hollywood powers-that-be. Marsters seems to be earning his living now by appearing at conventions, rather than acting, which is sad. He’s too talented to not have a steady acting job.
“He would have more exposure if he had not burned his bridges with his former friend Joss Whedon.” Um, what? Is this some sort of supposition here, or did I miss something somewhere along the way? I’ve never heard of anything bad between Whedon and Marsters.
People always seem to think that if Joss doesn’t reuse an actor at some point, he must’ve had a falling out with that actor. Assumptions fall from Whedonites like apples from a tree.
wow, I think that’s a pretty big assumption. Everything they’ve ever said about each other has been positive. Everyone knows there’s some strained emotions between Joss and Charisma, but there’s never been a whisper for James. Joss doesn’t reuse everyone; Julie Benz for example. I think it’s like any other normal relationship; sometimes you’re just better friends with some people and less with others. Doesn’t mean you have bad blood there.
I’ve heard people throw it around whenever a new Whedon production is in the works, “Why doesn’t he use [actor]?” The reply is always “He had a huge falling out with them, so they’ll never work with him again.” It’s just one of the laziest forms of thinking out there.
James is actually still working with Joss, he just hasn’t found the right role for him. If you listen to interviews with James he will tell you that they bounce ideas of of each other all the time. The Spike comic book that James recently wrote was something he did with Joss. He always speaks very highly of him.
Supernatural fans already knew James Marsters was a witch.
Good news about SYTYCD ratings. :)
That episode was freaking hilarious. Also didn’t hurt to have Charisma Carpenter back on my screen either.
He always seems to have a thing for scifi/fantasy roles. Be it a vampire, a kryptonian computer or a witch having an affair with his wife.
it’s smart business. He loves his fans, and his fans love scifi/fantasy. He knows we’ll follow him to any project, and I think it’s a nice bit on his end to do projects that he thinks his fans will like.
Yay,SYTYCD ratings went way up,keep it going :)
why the heck doesn’t this man have his own show?!
So happy to hear that James is in a new series! I’ll watch anything that he’s in! He’s so talented.
I love this man, he is one of The best actors i’ve ever seen. He should have his own show. He is also hot!
Loved James Marster in “Buffy” as Spike If I remember correctly. Almost didn’t recognize him, truly a great asset to the site if they give him a some snark things to say.
Agree! And for goodness sakes can wardrobe get James Marsters out of the suit and tie and loosen him up a little. the man is freaking hot and you dress him like a lawyer. Give him more lines, develope his character, let him work his way into a relationship with the “king’s daughter” and make him morally ambiquious. These characters really do have places to go if you will develop them instead of painting them so one dimensional. I could get into this show. .
