In an interview with Elle India, Katrina revealed what fitness means to her. "You are fit when you are wholesome. Fitness means to be and to feel healthy. Fitness to me is a healthy lifestyle driven by discipline and self-control," she said.

Katrina Kaif shared in an interview, “I workout seven days a week for at least 1-3 hours. I like to challenge myself which is why I create my own workout plan, it’s a mix of squats, push-ups, lunges.”

“I also do Pilates and Yoga. Lots of cardio, weight training as well as functional training. I also indulge in a lot of trendy workouts which include TRX, Bosu Ball, Kettlebells or Power Plates,” Katrina Kaif said.

According to Kaif's nutritionist Shweta Shah, she takes eight soaked raisins in the morning along with fennel seeds. Kaif has a lot of ash gourd, celery, and cucumber juices. She prefers having dates to satiate her sugar cravings and is also a fan of hot stews and soups.

Kaif revealed, "I don’t swear by any particular rules for my diet. I don’t follow any fad diets. I try to keep it light after 7pm. I try eating good amount of protein, vegetables, carbs like rice, potatoes and sweet potatoes to name a few, I just avoid dairy, gluten, wheat and too much refined sugar."

"Yoga is one of my favourite forms of exercise to connect with my inner self. I think it helps you in so many ways and what it does for the state of mind is phenomenal," the actress told Elle India.

Katrina Kaif shared, "I have now started listening to my body and I know when it needs to be eased out. I know when it needs more flexibility training, more mobility training or some gentle stretching. Being at peace with your routine only comes with time."

“As a rule, I always avoid three foods which are gluten, refined sugars, and dairy products. I have four glasses of warm water in the morning, and eat boiled vegetables and fruits every two hours," she revealed.
