The love pouring in for Tanner

You've lived a good life if this many peers come out with heartfelt comments. UFC fighter Evan Tanner passed away on Sunday and the net is brimming with nice commentary about the former middleweight champion.

Ken Pavia, a mixed martial arts agent, talked about Tanner being his own man:

"One of the first UFC events I attended as an agent was in Las Vegas with Ricco Rodriguez and our buddy Mike Hogan. Ricco had parked in the very last row of the parking lot. As we left the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, we walked out to the lot in a light rain. There was only one other vehicle out there, and it was parked next to Ricco's. The vehicle was an older, beat-up Toyota Jeep without a top. We could see from a distance that a man was sitting in it getting wet with the radio on. He was smiling, it was Evan Tanner. Hogan got all excited and asked to take pictures with him, and Evan obliged. He told us he had driven down from Oregon for the fights and was getting ready to go home. He seemed quite content.

Fightlinker.com, always a loyal follower of Tanner's blogs, devoted the entire day to Tanner, changing the site name to Tannerlink.com. Here are some of the old entries:
