'Life with a Twist' unveiled Mercury and its new consumer-facing identity, during the project's initial inaugural phase which kicked off in Autumn 2023. The campaign formed the basis of a multichannel launch that reached its peak over the festive season. The final campaign is the culmination of an artistic collaboration that bears testament to Mercury's commitment to art and design while creating a genuine brand moment to set the tone for what lies ahead. In the campaign, Mercury is introduced in human form, presenting architecture as a contemporary art form while drawing parallels with disciplines such as fashion, dance, and music. Cloaked in layer-upon-layer of black fabric, the figure harmoniously unravels to reveal the final representation through dance and music - presenting an abstract and open-ended interpretation, whilst sparking curiosity among Mercury's diverse audience. The visible twisting of the fabric mirrors Mercury's distinctive architectural feature: 'The Twist'. The unwinding fabric symbolizes the removal of the hoarding that surrounded the developmental phase, unveiling the long-speculated Mercury, which emerges as a symbol of artistry, diversity, and timeless beauty. Drawing inspiration from the late Zaha Hadid, 'Life with a Twist' is ultimately an homage to her work and provides context for Mercury's activity as it moves towards completion in 2024, and establishes itself as Malta's foremost urban lifestyle destination while finding its place as a new cultural hub. Last December Mercury collaborated with M.Demajo Wines and Spirits and Barlowes to launch cultural programming throughout the holiday season, in the company of likeminded industry players. The event itself fused AW23 fashion with #VeuveClicquot Champagne, paired with a delectable menu by #LowesLounge. Overlooking the public piazza, the outdoor terrace provided an ideal vantage point for guests to take in the curated spectacle and detail; including a magical Christmas tree - Malta's largest - and the recently complete Mercury Tower by Zaha Hadid Architects.
