As I am always looking for new foodie delights, I met some friends in Warwick for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning and they were having coffee at this place so I looked at the menu only to discover that almost nothing was familiar. Miso this and Tempeh that in unusual combinations with ginger and such; I felt like it was all too much for my under caffeinated mind, so I asked Tara, a proprietor, to give me some coffee and to feel free to surprise and delight me.
She absolutely did just that. It was a parade of delicious, unexpected "not meat" delights, all fresh and yummy, lovingly served with a friendly pair of smiles.
I will certainly be back again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fredrick S.Manhattan, NY0353Sep 12, 2022
We're not vegetarians but were looking for something different. Tara's street side restaurant just across the bridge in Warwick offered us a tasty Reuben Tempeh on her homemade bread for lunch. We returned the following day for another lunch with her tasty Jun drink. We bought a bottle of her Golden Dandy Sauerkraut and her Mint Basil Cucumber Kimchi as well as her homemade bread to enjoy back home in NYC. We also got her book " Fermentation On Wheels" which tells her story of teaching fermentation with travel exploits and 50 recipes.
What a fabulous experience all around.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aimee H.Warwick, NY474531Jul 5, 2021
Tucked away in a spotlessly clean nook on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Ave. is a delightful little store front eatery whose owners care about food and it shows. The young couple who own the only fermented foods store around for miles know how to make healthy, delicious and delightful foods that are good for the body, mind and spirit. We found it because we were looking for kombucha and got something even better. A fermented drink called Jun, which was hands down the most delicious drink I have ever tried. And I've tried non-alcoholic drinks all over the US. It's a fruity, bubbly, sweet concoction made from hibiscus, rose and honey, with a splash of green tea. It was so good I was instantly hooked. After I posted a rave review on a community Facebook site, people posted about how good their tempeh Reuben was, and how much they loved the kimchi and sauerkraut (which I learned is delicious on falafel). One things for sure, the owners love and care for their space and food like true foodies, and when you visit Warwick, their Jun is a must-try!

What a fabulous sandwich! The tempeh reuben was the best vegetarian sandwich I may have ever had. The tempeh was nutty and succulent, so much tastier than the store bought stuff. Each sauce/spread was better than the last (who knew miso could be made into a delicious mayo?!). The sourdough was crispy and chewy and perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who's curious about how fantastic quality vegetarian food can be. What a gem! I only regret that I didn't take a photo before I scarfed it down!

Tempeh Ruben is one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Pickles and deserts are also incredible. Went twice during previews and had to come back for opening. So good!
