SODEAVI is a company dedicated to growing various types of berries in the region of Villaviciosa, with blueberries being its main production. It has around 6 hectares and more than 80,000 kg per year.

During one of its expansion phases, the company turned to Hydroponic Systems to install 4,000 linear metres of HS Evolution System to produce strawberries. From SODEAVI, Faustino Ortiz, one of its partners, points out that “we are delighted, the roots don’t come into contact with the drainage and the aeration is phenomenal”.

“Furthermore, we are surprised by the quality of the coating, as the crop is still in excellent condition despite the constant rain and humidity”, Ortiz also affirms. Thanks to the internal coating and the excellent quality of the pre-painted steel, the carcass is giving excellent results and is holding up like new to days of continuous rain and humidity.

Another of the keys that SODEAVI highlights about the quality of the HS Evolution System is its comfort: “It is an ergonomic system that speeds up and facilitates strawberry harvesting”, he concludes.
