Ok so, it’s Week 3 in the semester. Week 1 was Freshers and we went hard. Probably too hard but is it really a Freshers if you haven’t spent at least £150.00 of your student loan on ridiculously priced pitchers that contain 0 amounts of alcohol and an extortionate amount of ice?

I digress.

Week 2 was all about the brunches. Everyone was wanting to meet up and we all know that beautiful looking food makes for a strong Instagram story. So, we caved and, we brunched. Hard.

Week 3 is here and it’s looking G-R-I-M. A tenner in the Fygo Wallet from two weeks of indulgent fo-cialising. Socializing with food. Yes, you heard it here first.
Fo-cialising.
15 quid to last us until payday so, “how?” I hear you ask, “How on earth do I live off £15 in 5 days and not get scurvy?”

Well, like this of course:

1. Breakfast — Porridge. Slow-release energy, filling and healthy! 75p for a 1kg from Tesco. Make with water or milk!

Oats: £0.75

Milk: £0.80

Total: £1.55

2. Lunch — the classic sandwich — a loaf of bread: £1.35 (whole grain for the #health element) some spinach and then whatever protein or fats you fancy:

Bread: £0.85

Spinach: £0.78

Cheese: £1.79

Spread: £0.95

Tesco Wafer Thin Roast Chicken: £1.10

(Veggie Option) Quorn Vegan Smoky Ham: £2.00

Total: £5.47- £6.37

#of Sandwiches: 4–5

3. Snack — some fruit! Or some chocolate. Something sweet to hit the spot between classes or training!

Attack a Snak: £1.00

4. Dinner — rice, fish and veg. Swap the fish out for something vegan if you fancy or make the tomato sauce into a chilli — add kidney beans, spices and some chopped onions! Simple but effective.

Rice: £1.20

Fish: White Fish Fillets £2.20

Veg: Mixed Steam Veg £1.75, 3-Pack Onion £0.80

Tomato Sauce: £1.25

Total: £7.20

TOTAL: £15.22
