A Igreja da Graça data do século XIV (1380) e a sua construção deve-se à vontade de D. Afonso Telo de Menezes, 1º Conde de Ourém, que resolveu fundar na vila um convento seguindo a regra de Santo Agostinho. Esta igreja revela, em Santarém, o esplendor do estilo gótico-flamejante, seguindo as inovações arquitectónicas e decorativas que eram ditadas pelo Mosteiro da Batalha. A fachada é um dos aspectos mais interessantes desta igreja. É harmoniosamente marcada por um elegante pórtico de arquivoltas, sobreposto por um arco conopial, muito frequente na linguagem gótica flamejante, e envolvido por uma moldura finamente decorada que preenche todo o espaço do corpo central. Ao alto, uma impressionante rosácea de grande qualidade, que dizem feita de uma só pedra, revela a maturidade estilística dos artistas. Uma das características particulares deste templo é o desnível que existe com o exterior. Descendo alguns degraus temos acesso ao amplo interior, de três naves, com o ritmo marcado por grandes colunas. A cabeceira, um pouco mais baixa, é coberta por uma abóbada de cruzaria de ogivas e decorada por altas janelas que iluminam o altar. A iluminação é completada pela rosácea e pelas várias fenestras ao longo do corpo da igreja, revelando um entendimento perfeito da estrutura gótica. No braço direito do cruzeiro (lado da Epístola), está o túmulo conjunto de D. Pedro de Menezes, neto do fundador, e de D. Beatriz Coutinho, sua mulher, com esculturas jacentes de mãos dadas, à maneira dos túmulos no Mosteiro da Batalha. Fiel servidor de D. João I, foi Governador de Ceuta entre 1415 e 1437, 1º Conde de Vila Real e 2º Conde de Viana do Alentejo. Na decoração flamejante da arca tumular, encontramos a representação da sua divisa por diversas vezes: um ramo de zambujeiro e a palavra "Aleo" aludindo ao orgulho do guerreiro que participou na conquista de Ceuta (em 1415).
