This 1995 Porsche Carrera RS is one of approximately 1,014 examples produced for the 1995 and 1996 model years and was delivered new to Porsche Zentrum Dortmund in Germany. The car spent time in France before being imported to the US in the 2010s under the NHTSA Show or Display exemption, and it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2023. Finished in Polar Silver Metallic over two-tone black and gray leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a seam-welded body shell, an aluminum hood, front and rear spoilers, 18″ Speedline multi-piece wheels, a carbon-fiber front strut tower bar, air conditioning, power-operated windows, front airbags, a factory cassette player, manually adjustable sport seats, and fold-down rear seats. Service performed in April 2023 involved replacing the spark plugs and tires, changing the oil change, and recharging the air conditioning system. This 993 Carrera RS shows 65k kilometers (~40k miles) and is offered on consignment by the selling dealer in Massachusetts as part of the Gruppe P Collection with factory books, NHTSA and EPA documents, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The 993 RS Carrera is a lightweight variant of the Carrera that was introduced for the 1995 model year and featured a seam-welded body shell, an aluminum hood, deleted headlight washers, and thinner glass compared to the contemporary Carrera. This example is finished in Polar Silver Metallic (L92M) and features front and rear spoilers, Carrera RS decklid badging, and amber side marker lamps. A ceramic coating was applied to the exterior surfaces by Porsche Westwood in Massachusetts in April 2023. Cracks are visible on the rear bumper cover near the tailpipe.

The 18″ multi-piece Speedline for Porsche wheels wear RS center caps and are mounted with 255/40 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires that were installed in April 2023. A carbon-fiber strut bar spans the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by red four-piston calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated discs at all four corners.

The cabin features manually adjustable sport seats trimmed in two-tone black and gray leather along with matching door panels. Black leather covers the fold-down rear seats, and the carpeting features red Carrera RS rear bulkhead embroidery. Equipment includes front airbags, power windows, air conditioning, a Porsche CR-21 cassette player, and red seatbelts and door pulls. The air conditioning system was recharged in April 2023.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 7,600-rpm tachometer, a 300-km/h speedometer, a quartz clock, and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows less than 65k kilometers (~40k miles), approximately 150 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The M64/20 flat-six was enlarged to 3.8 liters for the Carrera RS and features a VarioRam intake system, forged pistons, lightened rocker arms, enlarged intake valves, and Bosch Motronic engine management. It was factory rated at 300 horsepower. An engine overhaul was performed in 2010 by Mahag Sportwagen-Zentrum GmbH of Munich, Germany, which included replacing the bearings, piston rings, camshafts, and rocker arms. Service in April 2023 involved changing the oil and replacing the spark plugs.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Cargraphic mufflers have been installed, and an EPA emissions conversion was carried out by JK Technologies of Baltimore, Maryland, in January 2015.
