This 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS is a non-sunroof coupe, and one of approximately 76 Touring examples produced for the 964-generation 911. Produced for the Portuguese/Spanish market, the car was purchased new by a Japanese collector, remaining in Japan until 2014. It was reportedly imported in 2014 under a show or display exemption and subsequently titled for the street in Massachusetts and Michigan before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. The car is finished in Maritime Blue over multi-tone black and blue leather upholstery, and power comes from a 3.6-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Features include an aluminum hood, Turbo-style anti-lock brakes, 17″ magnesium Cup wheels, power-assisted steering, power windows, air conditioning, central locking, and sport seats. This 964 Carrera RS Touring is now offered at no reserve in Naperville, Illinois, with a Porsche Product Specifications certificate, factory books and literature, tools, Japanese-language documents, and a clean Michigan title.

The Carrera RS was reintroduced with the 964 chassis and featured a seam-welded bodyshell as well as an aluminum hood, rolled fenders, and thinner side and rear windows than those used on the standard Carrera. Cars equipped with the M002 Touring option were tailored toward street driving and feature soundproofing and undercoating as well as a standard Carrera wiring loom and optional power accessories.

The 17″ magnesium Cup wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. A red-painted spare wheel with a space saver tire is mounted in the front trunk. The Carrera RS’s ride height is lower than that of a standard 964, and it also featured stiffer springs and adjustable anti-sway bars. This example was optioned from the factory with power-assisted steering. Stopping power is provided by an anti-lock system featuring four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
